Here, he undertook the challenge of conceiving and implementing a tailor-made data analysis infrastructure solution for a prominent medical research laboratory. Alan’s visionary approach and technical prowess not only met but exceeded the project’s objectives, resulting in an infrastructure that revolutionized the way data was processed and analyzed, thus significantly advancing the lab’s research capabilities.

This foundational code served as the bedrock for creating customized projects specializing in high-performance pattern recognition. His diligent efforts in managing and evolving this codebase ensured the successful execution of bespoke projects, each with exacting demands and high-performance requirements.

In addition to his previous position and his current role as an IGGI PhD candidate, Alan volunteered as the University Coordinator for the UK Floorball Federation (UKFF). In this capacity, Alan created and managed the UKFF University League, which encompassed all university teams across England.
Under Alan’s stewardship, the UKFF University League flourished, providing universities across the country with invaluable opportunities for growth and development in the sport. This initiative not only strengthened floorball programs at the university level but also played a pivotal role in elevating the sport’s presence on a national scale.
While Alan’s primary responsibilities were centered around league management, he also dedicated his efforts to support the establishment of new university floorball teams, both in England and Scotland.
